when started out benetton, benettons competing closely williams renaults top team in days. competition became greater when benetton powered renault engines.

when ferrari, got best people around run team & develop car liking. knew won 7 titles ferrari & peerless then.

when went merc, apart 1 podium finish, struggled gain out of it.

senna on other hand made toleman impressive. jps lotus 98t wasnt fastest car or had powerful engine, still managed take poles, podiums & race wins. mclaren cosworth quite underpowered still managed 5 wins, including brilliant rain drive during british gp, climbing 5th 1st in 1 lap overtaking hill, prost & schumacher in process.
