more seriously, question shows don't know history of sport, real name association football. word soccer english, not american, slang association football. while rules association football, , simultaneously rugby, codified english in 1860s, no 1 "invented" kind of football. football games of sorts had been played thousands of years around world. saying sport invented saying henry ford invented automobile, when in fact first mass produce them.

americans no disrespect european football invented before american football dont call soccer lol!
