few paper towels, fold them quarters (once in half fold again), stack them they're thick, , have him hold them on cut. he'll have press them against cut hard enough stop bleeding, , hold them there long enough wound close, while depending on how big cut is. main thing stop bleeding pressing on area blood coming from, hand if necessary. unless it's serious, stop bleeding after while.
