How bad does it hurt to get hit by a airsoft bb?

first time went airsofting, had old jacket , pair of cargo shorts. when got there, little overwhelmed , embarrassed attire , appearance of other players. didn't have vest. have been airsofting years , "tables have turned" speak realized apparel doesn't matter. when comes down actual game, style , gear preference. nobody cares when have in scope. how want feel part of match. long sleeves , pants fine honest god have seen people show matches no shirt , basketball shorts. people go airsofting time in casual outfits. people dress in military uniforms style, convenience. there nothing worse running cover gun magazines jiggling around in pocket , falling out. if more sport, come realize under armour become best friend on hot days. ***** sporting goods supplies them they're not cheap investment.

no skin protection + high fps + close = ouch (bee sting feeling small swelling , enough blood shed)
