canadian border services accept expired united states passport entry canada @ land crossings.

believe tolerance 3 years.

used cross expired canadian passport ages. don't care either @ side.

*when enter canada, cbsa officer may ask see passport , valid visa, if 1 necessary. if citizen of united states, not need passport enter canada. however, should carry proof of citizenship, such birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, photo identification. if permanent resident of canada or u.s, should bring permanent resident card you.*
