Need advice on lights(indoor lights)?

live in apartment light in living room through lights attached fan, not enough e.g reading.there no attachment light given anywhere on walls or on ceiling,now more light have tried lamps not great , illuminating,is there other way light living room,any sort of temporary removal lights there?if there called?
if there attach normal plugs given in room , still great?
