Why do I only have partial control over lucid dreams?

whenever have lucid dream, try things out of ordinary i'm limited rationalisation. last night had lucid dream , tried fly, when feet left ground came straight down. tried win lot of money won little. why did need money in dream? else can such extraordinary things , mine limited.
