Are french people mostly of celtic and germanic origin ?

normans vikings (mainly denmark, right next door, norway, also). raided normandy area king of franks (now france & bigger then) offered them normandy area if they'd quit raiding further out. lived there abt 100 years, families joining them & intermarrying frankish people there already, & developed form of french language called norman french, & conquered england in 1066.

normans, became english (but didn't mix welsh & scottish 'nobility) fought france years because figured still owned normandy, france said had been given them fiefdom, still owned french.

anyway, norman french danes, part. (norwegian vikings raided & settled of france, further northwestern shore & river areas.)

southern france has different history, impacted mediterranean cultures & peoples - wider variety of input there.

i have norman french , southern french blood. , norman french people mixture of scandinavian ? im asking because love every culture in world.
