When will the media hype surrounding newtown stop?
hear justin! media regurgitates, rehashes, , bombards every sordid detail tragedy, people being whipped frenzy. it's if getting drunk on own adrenaline, can't stop talking it, , want more, more, more! , media more happy give us, under disguise of being sympathetic & caring.
unfortunately, media's job story, first, , more of more competitors. it's impossible horrible tragedy without overdoing it, , force-feeding stories long after many of have reached our thresholds, , numbed all. or not, it's way modern mass-media operates.
answer question, unfortunately hype isn't going stop anytime soon. stories gain momentum take on life of own. after we've seen emotional presentations featuring each child's name & photograph, next we'll hear detailed accounts on lives of several individual children. on christmas day, new surge of cameras focused again on newtown, more interviews, more speeches of same recurring themes. , after peters out, re-surge again. on dec 14, 2013, we're have "remembering newtown", rebroadcasts of same footage on again.
(and lots of other people), i'm not unsympathetic victims of tragedy, agree over-saturated this; need move on instead of rehashing these events again & again, @ risk of our own sanity. best suggestion keep tv & radio either off, or tuned non-news programming while. , less media senses demand more information, less prolong broadcasting & rebroadcasting of nightmare, , allow being healing & rebuilding process, benefit of all.
it's on local , cable news channels. i'm sick of i'm never forgetting happened day.
