december 21st (united states) winter solstice, shortest day of year.
december 22nd (australia) summer solstice, longest day of year.
december solstice occurs when sun reaches southerly declination of -23.5 degrees. in other words, when north pole tilted 23.5 degrees away sun.

there things need know rumors of "end of world" or "doomsday" in 20121.
"2012 doomsday" hoax, fraud, , absolute con job. cruel , disgusting lie being promoted scam artists after money; first scare people death terrible going happen, publish books , videos on "how survive apocalypse". scam?! you're not going fall that… right?
problem people fall scam. people believe it. people waste money buying fake information on "how survive". people buy worthless survival kits, , buy spaces in shelters not going built - ever!.
