What heart rate is "pushing it" for a 16 year old distance runner?


max heart rate - 220bpm (beats per minute) minus age generic rule.

so, max rate = 220 - age =16, equals 204.

not supposed hit max heart rate, if do, not supposed hold more 1 minute. supposed operate in 65% 85% range. 85% of 204 163bpm. breaks down 27bpm 28bpm on 10 second interval.

used how feels @ level when reach without heart rate monitor or stop watch, able recognize how feels , off on intensity.

i wondering point should heart rate push , improve cardio performance.
