How do people get up onto oil rigs from the boats they came in on?

of them come on boats, right? surely not of , forth can done helicopters. know i've seen in photos of them, , shots in movies of people on them aren't panoramic can't see on thing are, far know oil rigs on stilts without platforms @ water level. boats dock? dock small doesn't show in pictures? in 1 of stilts? rig accessible big ships , not boats?
