How is the school in South Korea?

assume high school kid.

there few kinds of schools in korea.
list them in order of overall privilege.

a. independent schools (자사고)
expensive , competitive. schools in korea can prep sat , ivy league colleges. hardly different western private boarding schools.

b. science schools / foreign language schools (과학고 / 외국어고)
government funded. not expensive unless privately operated. many of students go top korean universities, later constitute domestic elites. have smart go these schools.

c. international schools (외국인학교)
schools accept foreign admissions only. rich folks laundered nationality send kids here. expensive, not have smart go these schools.

d. normal schools (인문계 고등학교)
public , private schools reserved mediocre students. kids go type of schools, of whom go 4-year colleges. few of them go seoul-based "elite" private colleges.

e. tech/job schools (실업계 고등학교)
called "ghetto schools". when fail perform average intellect, have no choice go 1 of these. more bullying , violence etc. thing school hours ends early, while d type schools whip students till 10 p.m.. not of them **** though. there privileged few excel in job-related subjects. few filter admissions thoroughly however.

there isn't called school "life". study time. school full of asian kids more intense foreigner imagine.

general rules strict. hair must kept. no dyeing or piercing allowed. must wear uniform while present @ school. schools retain militaristic traditions such mandatory salute.
