Tapping noise in the wall of my house happens in late afternoons what is it?

noise has started 2 weeks ago. exterminator put bag in case rodent. hasn't helped starts everyday late in afternoon , comes , goes. not constant tapping sound start last few seconds couple of minutes. doesn't sound no scratching or chewing pecking or tapping sound
