Opinions on whether it's still worth doing a multi-engine rating if you only intend to fly as a hobby?

if fly hobby - waste of money multiengine rating -
if wish fly 1 (rent one) not have minimum experience -

excellent "experience" many of (i respect) say...
have ever tried rent 1 8 hours of "twin" in logbook...???

once tried rent twin comanche in van nuys, usa in late 1970s...
atp, , list of jet ratings l had, , pan captain id -
"sorry sir, our insurance requires 100 hours on type rental..." -
when go rent ferrari gt, give "driving test" in beverly hills?

told 707-727-747 not count "multiengine land experience" -
guess, because not how feather propeller...??? -
, lh engine "critical engine" b.s. -

hey, 747 buddies, remember - nº 1 engine critical engine...! -

edit -

ran same stupidities last year in pompano beach (usa again) rent plane -
flight school had decathlon 180 hp wanted fly , rent afternoon -
never had opportunity fly 1 (i live in argentina) - hold faa atp asmel -
morning, had got 3rd class medical locally -

few of know operator towing gliders , banners in argentina -
operate 2 l-21b super cubs, , taking delivery of o-1 bird dog in january -
estimate single engine taildragger time 1,000 hrs since 10 years ago -

flight school refused rent decathlon, because never flew 1 -
required me have @ least 5 hours dual training instructors -
offered check out instructor = 3 takeoffs - said no...!

- twin engine rating worthless - cannot rent 1
, high experience on taildraggers worthless - or $500 check-out -
no wonder general aviation operators in usa going out of business -
.

hello.i'm considering doing multi-engine rating ,pretty sake of doing so.opinions on whether improve overall flying abilities &knowledge....ect.
