Best PC controller for SNES, N64 and other classic consoles?

whatever gonna play games.
classic controller 2d/fighting games recommended snes pc controller. (usb)

normal 3d games today, great using ps2 controller usb adapter of course.

i'm trying decide if want controller/joypad/joystick pc or not part of christmas. using snes, n64 , possibly ps1 games , after digging around i'm finding mixed , unhelpful reviews. controller go while not being expensive?
