congratulations on new home. being expense's move etc, im sure anxious home theater in house can enjoy in new home. though $500 complete home theater system not realistic not decent home theater system let alone one.

suggest saving serious money , take time , enjoy, sound good, , last. $500 going 1 of prepackaged systems , not sound bad, break , cost of having fixed more system worth , end having buy whole new system. stay away chain stores have no clue doing, , 98% of equipment carry low end anyway.

best bet go , discover local independent high end audio video store, carry better brands of speakers , equipment , salesmen @ these stores have many years experience designing , installing higher quality systems. endless can spend in millions, or hundreds of thousands state of art audio video system, , these high end stores can design system in caliber. granted have expensive gear, carry exceptional sounding budget gear, can pretty design system every ones budget. not familiar many of higher end brands of speakers , equipment, find salesmen take time introduce better brands , design system fits budget , sounds ears in room played in.
