How do I keep roaches away?

live in southern georgia , roaches pretty common can have phobia of them...well not i'll faint when see 1 when see them i'm terrified @ how ugly look. it's 1:20am , saw black moving...i thought dreaming (because falling asleep) sure enough , see roach!!!! threw blankets off , roach gone...i'm sure saw me keep looking , after 1/2 hour found it...i have sprained pectoral muscle , hurt myself more lifting both of queen sized mattresses find it. killed can't sleep...i'm shaking , keep feeling roaches on me though know there aren't any...how keep roaches away house , me? have combat roach disks cockroaches see huge go inside of them!
