Old Swim Club Team, Coaches and Swimmers disrespect me, should I still go back?

i've taken year , half off of club swimming (i swam noncommittally school team) , want start swimming competitively again. i'm bit slow age group (13-17) little practice time can fix that. problem old team, wanted go them, @ school old team mates have been talking me out of it. apparently there rumor going around quit because of hard set - didn't quit because not fit ap student high schedule schedule of cellos, tennis (not time consuming swimming since on weekends 1.5 hours instead of every day 2.5) , multiple clubs, , huge workload - , set named after me. wasn't swimmers started that, coach. (that coach) left, new coach continues though when he's never met me. think because swimmers talk **** me. real reason talk **** me because old coach did. don't want go team doesn't want me, not knowing saying me, told mom sign me in january. told me signed me up, i'm kinda skeptical that. haven't told me, think wants me go club team because sister still swims there. should go or go new team? don't shitty answers "do feels best you" cause isn't answer, excuse yahoo points. i'm concerned this, , want serious answers.
