I'm 16 and I want to trade in a car to get money for a different one?

ive stayed night researching cars , im literally in love 2007 infiniti m35x. next in line audi a4 2.0t quattro. dad has ml350 mercedes , may give me when permit since might new car , talks "if new car volkswagen" "i audi" etc. hes offered sister used car declined. im trying used infiniti 2007. checked kbb.com (some official site gives on cars) , there used infiniti m35x's near me $10,500!! calculated dads car , ml 350 mercedes 2003 , says worth, if trade in dealer, 8-9 thousand. havent checked on how mileage on it. @ least 7000. friends told me dealer want more can make profit thats fine. how process work though? able pay monthly fee? if great because cant come 10 grand on spot. how downpayment be? able choose plan? 3 year payment plan or 5 year payment plan. know more amount of years less monthly pay. want when im in college, able have sort of job , able pay off rest of car while im in college. plan trade in dad's car if gives me, money dealer, go other dealer, pay downpayment, , set installment plan on next 4-5 years. can choose plan or restrict me specific plan? have permit first , turning 17 in 6 months.

p.s- read other posts , people im minor therefore not able sign loan papers. dont plan on trading in dads car until im 17 1/2 years old or older. im 16 1/2 , still havent gotten permit. mom doesnt want me 1 until finish sats. finish next year october puts me @ 17 1/2 , can trade in dad's car 18th birthday on may 1st. friend said more downpayment pay, less per month pay in plan.
