What to bring to New Zealand?

moving new zealand next few years. i'll working on both of main islands. i'm curious type of wardrobe should pack, i've never been there before , sounds there pretty diverse weather. need lot of cold weather clothes or warm weather clothes or both? i've heard can warm australia there or freezing cold , rains , snows lot don't know expect. i'll traveling lot packing relatively light concern. advice appreciated!
