first thing should try click on can't access account located on sign in screen.
1 of options " have problem password". place dot in circle left of .. click on next , follow prompts...

can new password, yahoo! id reminder, or both. if forgot yahoo! id or password, go sign-in problems page. https://edit.yahoo.com/forgot?login

if forgot yahoo! id, need provide 3 pieces of information can confirm identity:

* birthday
* zip or postal code (at time created yahoo! account or when last updated it)
* country code (at time created yahoo! account or when last updated it)

sure provide same information gave last time registered new yahoo! id or password or last time updated account.

if forgot password, can create new one. first you’ll have provide following information can confirm identity:

* yahoo! id
* alternate email address, mobile phone number, or answers secret questions

reset password link sent alternate email address. click link , enter new password in reset password page.

if entered secret question incorrectly or forgot entered, security reasons, cannot tell yahoo! id or let create new password.

last resort call 866-562-7219 between 6am , 6pm pst ...use option 2 have reset password sent you. if not have alternate email address send , cannot answer secret questions/answers out of luck.
