How do I overcome a fear of flying?

have been planning go on overseas holiday @ end of year while time here i've got terrible feeling i'm going die in plane crash. don't know why have premonition i'm going die , keep thinking i'm 18 , missing out on entire lifetime if do. how overcome fear? irrational me not go due instincts/gut feeling telling me not to?
