Does it matter how tall you are to be a beach lifeguard?

small (only 5'1) have lifeguarded before. i've guarded pools dream go big , guard beach. know competitive swimmer should tall i've never had complications training lifeguarding. athletic , muscularly built think can tryouts in april if train hard. help? opinions?
