Where to live in Downtown Calgary?

want live in "core" of downtown. not downtown, "core" of downtown. want close action. young, 19. first apartment, moving out. live in harvest hills parents. can not go downtown , around personal reasons.
apartment buildings safe, affordable , have nice amenities? if rent high, willing live other people.
go university of calgary , trying make of myself. that's part of reason wanting in downtown. trying name out there. interested in theater, modeling, make artistry, cosmetology, fashion, etc... think being in thriving area me word out there. want close places theaters , stuff.
want live in downtown because of night life. want close pubs, bars, clubs , restaurants. oh , don't forget shopping :)
also, wouldn't mind living somewhere there lot of hot guys :p
know lots of artistic, creative people. lot of people different industries interested in. , pretty lights @ night :)
love high class area, , affordable rent nice, if money issue, can room mates.
