Help with buying a snake?
corn snakes great beginners, though hear mean when shedding.
milk snakes tend cannibalistic, , can musk you, kinda poop on you.
hear both docile/"nice" snakes. both pretty skinny snake, can bit fast moving, come in sorts of morphs/colors, both easy care for, , stay around same size.
so, pretty same in respect.
gender wise, there isn't scientific proven evidence, seems males better me.
how make snakes friendly:
1. don't handle immediately--new environment can stressful, give week before handle or feed snake.
2. there controversy on this, but, think feeding snake in different enclosure best--like bathtub, separate tank, or container. feeding them in separate space not more stressful getting them out , handling them. feeding them in enclosure not make them aggressive, can lead mistakes on snakes part. know plenty of people feed snake in tank no problems. precaution. when feed in separate container, snake has no thoughts ever when open tank lid might getting fed, prefer way.
3. recommend holding snake every other day, every 3 days. not much, not little. @ first, let used , no fast movements. gradually work moving hands around, touching head , tail, , conditioning them human touch. then, have friends hold it, , take pet stores , such.
if keep constant handling, snake tame dog! :)
i thinking of getting pet snake, either want corn snake or milk snake 1 gentle , easiest keep.
