How to fix my internet connection?

1. run virus scan on computer. if virus , spyware protection up-to-date, scan detect offenders , remove them computer.
2. unplug modem , wait minute. many times resetting modem fix slow internet connection.
3. perform system restore on computer. allows undo harmful changes have made computer causing slower internet.
4. free space on hard drive. routinely removing temporary internet files , programs no longer use keep computer running efficiently.
5. test connection. many internet providers allow use site check make sure there not problem connection.

i went cousins house laptop , put in wifi on laptop internet can work @ house. went home , internet not working, went house , it's still not working. connected wifi. have hp laptop. have window 8.
