Can I release my hermit crabs into the wild?

have 3 hermit crabs have had several months , love them. (: when go college, don't know i'll them. thinking of sitting parents down , telling them crab's' requirements , need know, don't if work parents... after all, hermits not " low maintenance" says. thinking of releasing them wild. go puerto rico every summer in caribbean , thinking of bringing them along (although i'm not sure how...) beach crawling purple pinchers, , there's plenty of sand, rocks, driftwood, , humidity. see little baby hermits crawling on place! want know if hermit crabs. don't want them walk straight death... of don't know, hermit crabs not captive bred. wild.
