Can i connect 450w smps instead of 400w without graphic card?

can connect 450w smps or higher one, because system draw amount of power requires operation performing. computer without graphics card, 450w overkill. 400w surely suffice. why have pay 450w smps? if plan add few more hard disks or additional optical drive in future, make sense go 450w smps, because can in powering additional components connect. hope helped you. please choose mine best answer. thank you.
