Should i tryout for a junior hockey leauge team?

i'm 16 , live in town near san antonio , im thinking playing nahl (junior league hockey) team in corpus christi (corpus christi icerays). i've never played hockey, i've never stepped on ice, i'm willing learn more game (rules, how should play, positions, etc.).

tryout information gets released in spring, still have alot of thinikig do, need suggestions on should do.

have lot of respect , love game, should @ least try
