powering single 12" kicker compvx sub in trunk in sealed box.

of speakers have blown , i'm looking pair of 6.5" , 6" x 9" speakers replace them. i've been looking , infinity reference series looking pretty promising. though max rms 60 , see 4 channel amp can give out 75 rms @ 2 ohms. i'm wondering if amp blow these speakers, don't understand impedance yet. also, suggestions speakers worth money appreciated. i'm going sound quality rather loudness.

on side note, 6x9 speakers behind rear seats in neon, can see of speakers inside trunk. wondering if have blown due amount of air sub forces around inside trunk, when crank bass cones in them move quite bit. have been contributing factor them blowing? thinking building airtight enclosure around of both of 6x9's.
