What are good points about getting a cockatiel?

cockatiel pet birds! don't yell , love company. "screaming" sounds whistling , aren't disturbing.
can tamed , if put effort, might learn talk. can tame easily, , close if nice , pays attention of course!
have not had cockatiel before, have 2 indian ringnecks , 2 lovebirds. many of friends own cockatiels , says great pet birds, , of cockatiels can hello , evening :d
also, cockatiel can live 20-25 years. mother's friend has cockatiel today 17 years old :)
luck in convincing parents! tried hard doing , succeed, :d

i want cockatiel christmas, need convince parents getting one. pointers can use on them convince them me one?
