How do I delete Yahoo Notifications that appear on my toolbar?

under "bell" icon on toolbar notifications of people replying posts have under yahoo articles. looked under , there article on how block specific users not notification figure i'm stuck them whether or not want them. but, these types of things have small x in top right corner can delete them. these notifications don't seem have way delete them. ideas? disappear in time after have been read?
