Will learning music theory make music more more enjoyable?

bob, yours extraordinarily to-the-point q , i'm sitting here chuckling go many ways. let's brass tacks manner, no holds barred, , devil take hindmost. :-))

no, won't make more enjoyable, make incomparably more intelligible. passive, feeble 'enjoyment' thingy isn't point of art. when kicks in goolies, or other extremely uncomfortable anatomical part of metaphorical choice, , actual assault on such tender regions, know when strikes!

more understand happening -- , *is* theory make plain on time -- more intricacies there become apparent , find -- whoah, 'nerd' in making here <gg> -- process itself, way musical work unfolds begin fascinate you, rather passive, wallowing, "ain't bootiful, dear' stuff... find gripping musical work metaphorical throat , shaking vigorously see reveal. see 'what drops out'... :-)

put differently, change understand meaning of 'enjoyable' itself... :-)

suck , see! ;-))

best,

like jazz , classical music in particular?
