Why did my electric bill double!?!?

i've been living in apartment on 3 years. *average* bill around $100 -- around $80 in winter , $140 in summer air conditioners running. last month bill $120 -- thought lot time of year, wasn't crazy. bill month -- $211.20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in summer when have 3 air conditioners running for, seems, non-stop never went above $160. bill says used 827 kwh double used last month , triple used last year @ time. other plugging in string of lights halloween, haven't used new. don't know if roommate started plugging in new things in room, still don't know possibly cause electric bill high. heat , hot water included in rent , cooking gas separate bill. ideas?
