Do the Government use the media to tell us what to think?

every tv show, interview, radio debate, or news article written agenda, it's "unique perspective" sells corporate brand.

government knows more media can ever uncover, , public knows small fraction of government's proceedings. interest groups , watchdogs investigate behind claims validate content, there's can done.

hence, our perception of politics based on select information government discloses, , in sense, whether free press exists or not, government can control public perception, though free press closely examines government can uncover more government lets on, why free press vital society.

or paranoid? i've been giving fair bit of thought lately. lot of stories seem written agenda. so, government use media tell think? , if so, how?
