Advice on a new acoustic guitar?

have takamine dads. when play softly sounds alright but, when play louder , louder sounds worse. i've had other people better me @ guitar sounds bad. so, obviously, makes me want buying new guitar. i'm looking that's easy play , sounds plugged , unplugged.

2 different price ranges i'm looking at.

1 around $500 range. (a realistic range buy soon)
, 1 in thousands range (one save quality guitar if 1 around $500 doesn't suffice.)
