Is the Violin a difficult instrument to learn?

have been fascinated violin ever since little, i've taken bigger interest in instrument. wondering, hard string instrument master? have musical ground already, play french horn, & don't mean toot own horn here (;d haha it?) i'd i'm quite @ it. i'm 15 & sophomore in high school. late me start playing & getting @ levels lindsay stirling? know won't godly is, know mean? might 1 christmas want make right choice if should or not.
