How are people related , when looking up ancestors?

generation 1: grandfather & willi = brothers
generation 2: 1 of parents & willi's children = 1st cousins
generation 3: & willi's grandchildren = 2nd cousins
generation 4: children & willi's great grandchildren = 3rd cousins

since 1 generation apart willi's great grandchildren, , 2nd cousins once removed. "removed" means "generations apart" in cousins. example of removed, 1 of parents , willi's great grandchildren 1st cousins twice removed.
