How do scientists get their new theories accepted?

there few theories of how atoms made - 1 plum pudding model theory - 1 up. they're proved conducting experiments. can't remember call current accepted theory, nor how proved - i'm helpful here lol

- you'll see repeating pattern of theory being proposed, rejected get's proved untrue experiments - or accepted, of experiments come out expected theory. although, sometimes, theory developed explain observation, rather experiment conducted (making observations) test theory.

for example how did people accept fact atoms made of protons, neutrons , electrons? how did people accept law of conservation of mass?
