What is it really like to live in Compton, California?

of corrupt politicians have been replaced, state has taken on running school district, , l.a sheriff's department replaced corrupt compton p.d. comptom better city in 70's. has growing industrial area, , it's becoming increasingly more hispanic, other city still has few "iffy" areas.. of hear compton steriotypical "crap" people has never been there

i heard stuff paradise uninhabitable... , in between. know not how media portrays it, in 80's , 90's absolutely crazy. i'm interested what's in past 10 years or so?
