How to learn intervals?

may sound stupid, can't tell different between minor 6 , major 6 or prima , ocatve.!!!! it's annoying because makes me unable play melodies since cannot tell intervals properly... :( can me? don't "practice." because know need to. there trick can do? heard practicing in dark/closing eyes helps because allows brain focus on music.
