My stereo system won't work on my tv. Why?

1 fiber optic cable sound not video if have ability run hdmi cable , stop messing multiple wires. need hdmi cable if dvr can run if not component cables red/blue/green set-up video can still use fiber optic cable remember sound. check of tv hdmi out connection , input on bluray receiver should able play tv through bluray unit you'll need change input selection on bluray players head unit remote.

my panasonic sa-bt200 blu ray disc home theatre sound system connected comcast motorola dvr box through fiber optic cable. tv have aquos 60". why not working on tv? please help!
