night dark; moon - slice
t'was couple o' stars twinkled sky
got blocked clouds, while others died

night became less dark; moon half
stars had filled sky - many feel spark
clouds still came , blocked little light
sun or morning star

night's no longer dark; moon whole
stars still in sight far
, through thickest cloud see shining moon
sun or morning star
