HELP! TRANSPORT IN CATANIA, SICILY?

hi... here sicily , kind me?
i'll coming sicily next saturday, : 1 day 19 hours 45 minutes 30 seconds (yes i'm keeping countdown lol!)
anyway, we're coming day, need transport.
decided use public transport... we're thinking of spending morning (7am - 3pm) in cities palermo, catania, taormina, etc. after (4pm -10pm) etna go skiing, etc!
know there buses , trains... have no idea how system works!
please, help????
