If i install os in one hard drive will i lose information on the other?

no. can have multiple os's on multiple partitions on 1 drive. have configuration on test box.
and... there's virtual machines (wmware workstation works best hear).

however, order/priority in install os's may make difference. windows 8 has different boot manager xp. doesn't use c:\boot.ini hold list of os's xp does, not sure 7. linux doesn't @ all, uses grub boot loader.

reactos? it's still in alpha stages.
