Is this a decent investment?

have opportunity become half owner of hostel in panama. numbers are: $9000 buy in, 12 beds, average price of $11/night, $400 total monthly expenses. it's hostel in province. wouldn't investing afar, i'd living/working there. i'm not looking rich, of course. i'm not asking advice on risk in terms of partner's honesty, foreign investment, numbers. cheers!

have part time weekend job , in second year @ university. make £500 month. according pension funds, if pay 10% (£50) month, company double , money government means pay less £50. there different types of funds available, easiest being 'target fund' investment company moves money based on age. there index trackers , other equities/funds. can advise better long time investment.
