How can i tell if my wheat penny is steel or copper?

steel penny attracted magnet. depending on condition it's worth 5 50 cents. it's copper ones have major value.

i found 2 wheat pennys in collection magnetic! 1943. in great condition 1 of them shinny , silver color! worth thing , how can tell if steel or copper? thanks
