Teachers, how do you keep control of your classroom without raising your voice to the students?

have tried calling parents during class? once started doing students became quiet , had little instances of talking/disrespectful behavior. agree non verbal cues such having clap signal, clap rhythm , class repeats it. if being utterly disrespectful , not caring authority @ have establish either phoning home or kicking them out of class (to principal's office, etc). must establish authority applying consequences behavior.

i'd know when students become noisy or talk each other without paying attention lesson.
