please check pnr status on daily basis, give idea abou trend..
whether tickets getting cancelled not & waitlisted status changing or not.

2 days before travel, notice there maximum cancellations...
since people book & keep tickets standby, , avoid cancellation charges, cancel tickets
2 days go.

also, keep yourselft ready book tickets via tatkal.(which opens day before travel date @ 1000 hrs)
u can book online via ticket wndow/counter.
